The task of travelling hundreds of kilometres for medical treatment was made a little easier for Robert Bugden after a recent trip to the Wests Tigers.

A proud Tigers supporter for the past 41 years, the 50-year-old underwent a bone marrow transplant to treat leukemia at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.

Regular treatment meant Robert had to stay with his son in Richmond in between travelling to and from Sydney from his Dubbo home.

As a guest of the Wests Tigers, Robert was taken on a tour of the training facilities at Concord Oval before getting the opportunity to watch the team train up close under the eye of coach Tim Sheens.

He then had the chance to meet the Wests Tigers players where he happily posed for a photo with one of his favourite players in five-eighth Benji Marshall. Wests Tigers thank Robert for his ongoing support of the club and wish him well with his health.
